Garden accessories are the little things that make gardening easier, or enhance the look of your garden. Tools such as trowels and garden shears are centuries old, but they are as pertinent to keeping a modern garden as ever. An electric hedge trimmer is a significantly newer tool, which makes the once onerous task of trimming your hedges a much less labor intensive one.

Other garden accessories are décor related in nature. Garden gnomes receive a bad rap, but they’ve been hanging out and making passersby smile for a long time despite the critics. Garden sculptures aren’t exactly new; European nobility put statues in their gardens. But they have taken garden decoration in a new direction.

You can easily achieve a modern look with metal yard art among your garden accessories. The use of metal as a medium is new in garden sculptures, as traditional sculptors used stone. Modern yard art is usually welded together rather than forged (as in bronze sculptures) which gives it a very different look and feel than you get with almost anything else.
